Join Word After Word Books in welcoming Peggy Townsend, author of the upcoming adventure thriller The Beautiful and the Wild, and her son Cody Townsend, skiing phenom and creator of The Fifty Project. Peggy and Cody will be at Word After Word Books on November 10th from 6pm-8pm to discuss The Beautiful and the Wild, answer questions, and sign books! 

Tickets are required, and must be purchased in advance. They cost $10 per person, and can be bought either in store or over the phone at 530-536-5099. Due to space, only 55 tickets will be sold, so reserve your spot now as we expect to sell out fast! Snacks, drinks, and excellent company will all be provided. 

The Beautiful and the Wild is released November 7th, and can be preordered here or purchased at the event. For fans of The Fifty Project, Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America will also be available for sale.  

Peggy Townsend is the author of See Her Run, The Thin Edge, and the upcoming The Beautiful and the Wild, in addition to being a longtime newspaper reporter who has won multiple state and national awards for her work. She divides her time between the Central Coast of California and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Cody Townsend is a local professional skier who was an alpine ski racer and stunt skiier for Hollywood blockbuster films. He is currently endeavoring to climb and ski all the lines in the book, “The Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America" in a multi-year ongoing project called The Fifty.
